If you've read the names of the default news feeds that come with Vienna you will see that even though there is plenty of space in the far left column, it might be handy to group related feeds. Grouping them is similar to creating a folder in the Finder, to group related files and keep things organized.
To create a "Group Folder" as Vienna calls it, just pull down the File menu and choose "New Group Folder…" which will create a new icon in the far left column.
To add feeds to that group just drag them and drop them in that folder, which looks more like an "in box" than a folder. :-)
In the screen shot illustrating this, you can see I created a group called "Mac" and dragged the three related feeds in to that group.
Another very powerful feature I hope you've noticed from the screen shot is that you can see all of the feeds in that group by clicking on the group icon. This allows you to search (aka Filter) within that group.
It is also possible to create a group within a group. For example, it may be that I am so in to Apple Macs that not only do I have lots of feeds from general news sites, but I also subscribe to news feeds from specific developers of my favorite software! As you can see in the screen shot illustrating this, I have created another group called "Software" that is a subcategory of the "Mac" group.
